Jake your party gives off an excellent aura.. I suggest as far as dress office dress to semi-formal would seem appropriate. Yes, to the gift for Janelle! That'll be a perfect tone to the pre-wedding party. No dinner is necessary I don't think...The tone gives off a perfect setting.....AND CONGRATS goes highly to you both!

Wow~ I've been working and almost missed this blog!!!! I'm almost speechless, if you can believe that. First off, I love that ring... it's beautiful! I agree with Brother Clark's response minus the cruise because I don't like them. Regarding the invitations, I'd go with elaborate invitations w/ reply cards. It's not everyday that a girl get's engaged you know!!

Congratulations Jake, Best wishes for you and your future bride. I would have made a comment earlier but you know how it is when the enemy keeps trying to play mind games with you. There is a picture that keeps flashing across the scene that resembles my dead daughters husband, on the Lake College advertisement. I started thinking about how the same preacher that married them reformed the funeral a year later. Anyway I had to pull myself together. I hope that you have a wonderful engagement party. Sounds like you're off to a great start on you new life together.
