My opinion is...Donald Trump is an agent for Donald Trump.
You know that little box on your elementary school report card that evaluates whether someone "WORKS AND PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS?" Well, he does not allow anyone else into his universe.
And you are right. New Yorkers know him very well--his name is all over the place. In fact, when I was growing up, one of the big new things in the city was this new high rise partment building for middle class in Coney Island called Trump Village. It was built by his father. It was a big deal.
Donald Trump is the epitome of a man who was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. He came into this world with unspeakable gifts and advantages--and he has used them entirely selfishly.
Mayor Bloomberg? You are right about him. There is a lot to admire. He is an independent thinker--but I do thinks he looks out for the residents of the city. I have tremendous admiration for how he is taking on the NRA. He is the ONLY majkor political figure with the guts to go toe to toe with the gun lobby. And the man puts his money where his mouth is.
The one thing I do not like about his policies is how he has singlehandedly RUINED education in this city. He has transformed schools into testing factories and made teaching into test preparation.
At least DT is good for some laughs. He is making a total fool of himself--and he doesn't even know--and doesn't even care! He laughs all the way to the bank!!!

I was just thinking the same thing about the Donald just the other day when I was watching CNN press conference with John King for the news of his taxes to be released since the President released the long form of his birth. Did anyone get a look at how he walked up to the podium? He's so cocky. Ha!

And Jen--remember how he boasted that he would release his tax returns when Obama releases his long form birth certificate?
So now I would like to see the press bug him about it--WHERE ARE YOUR TAX RETURNS?
Lawrence O'Donnell thinks he will never release them because it will show to the world that he isn't as rich or as smart with his money as he keeps telling people he is.

Irma, you are so right. That is exactly why we will be seeing the last of Donald Trump in a couple of weeks. He will announce that even though he believes he can win, he will not be running because of the demands of his TV program.
Will anybody be surprised???

@Rich, just in case you have not seen my comment on another of your blogs...I was talking about the theme of Gleen Beck's program today...
it was about the 60s and how then it wa so different and things taught back then is different than today (I did not mention how as he said this you book came to mine and your postings of how slaves could read and write) any way what my comment to you was if this could be Becks reply to L.O. for saying about is going to Harvard and how many nonwhite students made better graes than him and how he was not an affirmative action student...
