BEYONCE TEACHES CHILDREN TO EXERCISE THROUGH DANCE (3093 hits)
As part of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative to get kids of all ages in better shape through fun activities, Beyonce has turned her hit song “Get Me Bodied” into a catchy “Move Your Body” campaign video.
In this four minute production, Beyonce enters a lunch room full of kids of various ages, instructing them to move their body via the Dougie and other fun dance moves. Soon, more and more kids join in, and it becomes a synchronized dance version Simon Says, with Beyonce leading the pack.
It’s also interesting to note that most of the kids dancing along with Beyonce are African American. And by the video’s end, everyone is holding up mini American flags, waving them proudly as they exercise through dance. It’s an a well directed video, and in many ways, is culturally significant, too.
