Former Bullied Tuskegee Student Speaks Out! (9601 hits)

So, a month ago, a video of a bullying incident surfaced on World Star Hip Hop about a month or so ago, in which Tuskegee University's football players attempted to break into my room in order to attack me. In that video, an obviously angered version of myself "spazzed out" for lack of a better phrase. I've decided to speak on that incident.

Tuskegee University is considered a "Black Ivy League School" because it's ranked consistently as one of the top 5 HBCUs. However, take those 5 HBCUs and see their rankings in regards to REAL Universities. You'll quickly realize that graduating from a HBCU is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

I can't hear the blog video clip, but I read the blog. All schools should have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to Bullying. Furthermore, Bullying is not just a problem at HBCU's but on a number of educational institutions on primary, secondary, and post secondary.

My cousin dropped out of a college for which she had a full basketball scholarship, because there was a guy there bullying her who she was very afraid of. She never did return or seek to get her degree after that experience. As this society gets even crazier with kids at younger and younger ages being exposed to violence, we need to take bold steps to stop bullying.

In conclusion, I think it's really sad what happened to this young guy, but I'm glad that he's left Tuskegee if it makes him feel a sense of safety. On the other side of it, I do hope he's not turning against getting a degree or against HBCU's because of what happened to him at Tuskegee.

I understand his frustrations and discord with HBCUs. If I went thru the same battle as he I too
might have the same opinions on HBCUs. But this is an exceptional situation, vs the norm.
It never sits well with anyone to be treated in an "Unjustly" manner.
To expect college life to be plush, and comfy, and a replica of home, you will be sadly
dissapointed. College life is designed to mimic the real world, the jungle, the land of
opportunity. If everyone is on top then there is no where is to grow. If all variables were
perfect then there would be nothing to reach for.
As long as our @Regnum_Chaos is in a better place that meets his educational and
safety needs now, then he will do nothing but rise! I can recall plenty of times
I dealt with bullies and all I realize is that they are the ones who need prayer and I am
the one who needs Kung Fu! lol
God bless you and your journey @Regnum_Chaos !

@ Bro. Steve,
I still can't hear any audio, but hopefully when I get to the library to tomorrow I'll be able to listen.

@ Sister Elynor,
College is suppose to be for mature people but I'm guessing that I'm wrong. I'm sure going to put my little one in something.. Kung Fu, Karate, something!

On this video the volume is very low, but the one at the link I posted was plenty loud. You had no audio on that one either? But even just seeing how hard he's breathing you can see how angry he was. The others are laughing like it's a big joke. Cruel.

Elynor, when I went to school I didn't stay in a dorm. I haven't the least idea what it's like. Except probably in general it's a distraction from studies.

I've been able to listen to the video and my heartfelt prayers go out to him. It's unfair that he was singled out by other people for perhaps not fitting into the typical norms of Black life. I've felt on the outside at times myself, but never bullied. I think Tuskegee University should have done much more regarding this issue of Bullying.
