For all the inexplicable things Donald Trump has done in the past, none sent Jon Stewart over the edge quite like the way he ate pizza alongside Sarah Palin.
On The Daily Show Wednesday night, Stewart became apoplectic while reacting to Trump and Palin's pizza date in New York because the two didn't even go to an authentic New York restaurant, instead opting for a chain in Times Square. Stewart also took issue with how Trump ate his pizza because, as a native New Yorker, Trump's clueless etiquette was like a thumb in the city's eye.
Sarah Palin: "We got to eat some real New York Pizza."
Jon Stewart: "NOOOOOOO!"
Stewart pointed out that they went to a pizza chain which makes the pizza available at the Phoenix airport.
"I hate to say this so close to Ground Zero," said Stewart, "but we are a bit of a PIZZA MECCA!"
For one, Stewart was furious that Trump stacked his slices on his plate.
"All those years of making your hair do whatever it is that it does, you think you can go around layering anything you want to layer and no ones gonna say anything about it," Stewart said.
But it was Trump's use of a fork to eat the pizza that really pissed Stewart off, sending him into a long tirade in which he pulled out a slice of pizza and delivered a profane monologue about how to properly eat a slice.
"Based on how you eat pizza, Donald, I wanna see your long form birth certificate," Stewart said. "I don't believe you were really born in New York."
