MSNBC, June 2, 2011--For a second, it seemed like our TV might have to be adjusted, but that really was Al Sharpton filling in for Ed Schultz on Thursday night.
Sharpton has been an increasingly frequent guest on Schultz's show, but it was still slightly odd to see him sitting behind a desk, reading items about Sarah Palin off the teleprompter. (Schultz is serving out a suspension, thanks to his comments about Laura Ingraham.) Sharpton seemed a little stiff at times but mostly acquitted himself capably. Here he gives Anthony Weiner some advice about handling public controversy (since, as he pointed out, he has some experience in that area).
