If Miami Heat Center LeBron James pulls this off, he'd win his first NBA championship ring after leaving a team and its fans who turned their backs on him. He'd have the last laugh and tell all the haters three little words: "Told you so." And he was right.
All the criticism he took would be worth it. He'd be a champion... a winner. He wouldn't be fighting for the NBA title, if he stayed in Cleveland. No disrespect to the city, but he had to leave. Then Cleveland showed its lack of class and threatened him and his family. I mean really? Was that necessary?
He was a star in Cleveland making goo gobs of money. Adored by fans. "King" James as I recall. Just one problem: he wanted a ring. That was NEVER gonna happen there. It's happening for him in Miami. The NBA finals are now tied up at a game a piece. Miami's defense is fierce and these boys are playing hard. I'm not a Miami fan and I never thought he would get here in his first year, but he did.
I have to give him his props. He left a city that built him from the ground up. James followed his own heart and conscious. It was time for him to move on. It wasn't about money and he wasn't being selfish. It was desire to win. Sorry Cleveland couldn't do it for him. Looks like James may get that ring courtesy of Miami.
