Summer's Eve has three controversial new commercials that have people wondering: is campaigning using racial stereotypes okay? Each commercial uses a hand with a different skin color and different 'voice' to signify that they are black, latina, and white. The African American "Lady Wowza" character is particularly offensive and reliant on stereotypes related to race and s*x.

The "Summer's Eve Hail to the V: Lady Wowza" commercial promotes a women's cleansing product rather candidly. In the 55 second video, a Black woman's hand can be seen, cupped in a shape of a ******. The talking "V" named Lady Wowza begins a monologue, speaking to the person it is attached to. "Girl I see how much time you spend stylin' yo hair," Lady Wowza says. The monologue continues, Wowza mentions going clubbing, and finishes the video saying "Hail to the V!"

I know cleanliness is next to godliness, but I find it offensive that this ad is taking potshots at Blacks and other minority women, they act as if we are the only ones who are in dire need of feminine hygiene products. And white women are not (NUP)???

I can't hear the audio at the moment, but just looking at the ad I didn't find it offensive. Women know that the V is a wonderfully beautiful creation and it can get bushy and sticky among other things depending on what's going on in our lives. Personally, I prefer soap and water to get things fresh for the wonder down under.
