Man should have respect for a RATTLESNAKE....As a Scientist, I study such a snake !
Since slavery, our masters made black people basically blind, deaf and dumb. We even confuse hatred for respect. A Rattlesnake, for example, can kill a man but I do not hate the snake..no, we should respect the snake for its purpose on earth. As all life has a purpose. When it rattles, I go another direction..it is as simple as that. It is not my purpose to kill all snakes then....for then what would keep the rodent population down in balance. But, I do not bring the snakes into my house....nor do I try to befriend the snake....no, I keep the snakes in their domain...and I stay in mind.
While in college, I would be amazed at all the black Americans choosing curriculums differant then math and the sciences. Then, they graduate and think they know everthing about everthing including the sciences. I laugh.
Rattlesnakes, before striking, are typically coiled except for the forward part of the body that is raised and the rattle that is buzzing. Rattlesnakes typically strike up to a distance equal to 1/3 to 1/2 of their overall length, although longer reaches are theoretically possible.
The sound made by a rattler is caused by the clicking together of the rattle segments when the tail is vibrated. This sound has been described as similar to the crackling sound of frying fat. It should be noted that when the rattle is wet, it makes no noise.
Pit vipers generally inject large amounts of venom into hunting bites, but oftentimes little or no venom into defensive bites. In fact, up to 25% of pit viper bites in humans are non-venomous "dry bites". A provoked and angered snake, however, might not only "load up" to be quite venomous, but may also strike several times!
During slavery, white Americans beat the living SH_T OUT OF BLACK WOMEN and WOULD CUT OUT UNBORN BABIES FROM THEIR BODIES...AND THEY HUNG THE BLACK MEN AFTER TOSSING OIL ALL OVER THEIR BODIES. So, when a Black woman or a black man expresses ANY love for such creatures..it is like bringing a venomous rattlesnake into their house. Again, I laugh.

I recall several stories in the Holy Word about snakes. Or does the Scientist know more than the Prophets?
