HOW CAN YOU CHOOSE A MEDITATION TOPIC?
Those who practice meditation often; even daily will hardly be faced with topics or situations of meditation, but for a new or beginner meditator one may become at a loss on what, or how, or what to meditate. Since some often might feel awkward at first or experience uncertainty in what to meditate. If you are a beginner these simple, but few suggestions may help you.
Since I am a very advocate of deep meditations I feel very open to share with you a few tips for spiritual mediation upon God's Word. Meditation of any spirtual purposes must always and should be conducted "away from the personal needs of your flesh, denying yourself and focused upon the Spirit of God." Showing your love, your devotion and your obedience. Giving praises to the Heavenly Lord and your meditation of trusting in the Lord to take you closer to His tender and trustworthy presence in your life. Spiritual meditation topics include heartfelt love, and a clear conscience from a pure heart. Adding then all virtues of loving kindness and humility and trust. If you have situations you require help from God, then open your requests of mind secondly on trusting God's guidance to keep all things well with you. There is not much God asks of you. Trust, love and obedience are the beginnings of understanding and to fear God in reverence makes you wise to wisdom. Meditation of these are always needed and God expects you to have works of faith which pleases Him.
Try these suggestions at the beginning of your meditation time, whether your experienced or new, and all left to discover is developling stronger meditations to gain gifts of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit who knows the unctions and groanings to your prayers and meditations, allow Him to become part of the new you. Ask for the Holy Spirit in your prayers so you will receive Him. You then will no longer experience a sense loss; but a closness to God's Spirit like never before. Joy will fill your meditation and peace will follow.
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost."
[Romans: 15:13]
Take time to meditate soon. Meditate on the Spirit and the Word.
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight O' Lord my strength and my redeemer." [Psalm: 19:14]
