OCCUPY MEMPHIS
10.04.2011
Memphis, TN
A local group organized in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street gathered at Overton Park on October 04. 2011. The group called Occupy Memphis met in general assembly with their mission statement. The group has so far a membership of approximately 100 supporters which are focused local and on national issues including racist, predatory lending practices and productive uses of monies for education and public services. The organizers coincided with the recent march of demonstrations of Washington D.C. Freedom Plaza and the spur of Wall Street protestors which has already began. The Memphis group has issued concerns of local lending and or spending of monies and feel that the power in Washington has been compromised with Wall Street. The Occupy movement began with a July 13 call from a popular magazine to follow foots of revolutionary moves in Tahir Square in Egypt and street protest in Spain. The local group plans to gathering and targeting protests ranging from the Civic Center Plaza and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Downtown Memphis to the corner locations of Poplar and Ridgeway.
They’ll be taking the “differences of opinions” with them in their protest.
“There’s nothing like a different read..”
That’s why you’ll find this read
might be different because of way it’s written…
HE DIDN’T LOOK ANY DIFFERENT
BECAUSE HE WASN’T..

“It’s quite possible that a bank robber wished he’d gone shopping a different store.”
When the teller was robbed at the First South Financial Credit Union last Tuesday morning she never thought she’d be making any differences as to finally seeing her accused robber arrested. When the robber showed up to shop at the same but not different Walmart store located in Bartlett she saw he was not a different man. In fact she knew right away the man was the same man. Cleverly the clerk had her husband to secretly follow the man and write down his license plate number and then reporting it to the police. Later they arrested the robbing man with a charge of that showed no differences of robbery. The teller said he was dressed no differently wearing a Memphis Grizzlies hat and a white T-shirt. No differently did she feel he recognized her and she later pointed him out in a police line up.
He robbed the bank only to go shopping at Walmart?...
What a difference a store makes… Uh!
Many Memphis voters took a different route…but there wasn’t too many winners in the differences to talk about.
MEMPHIS ELECTED THE
SAME MAYOR AND SOME
OF THE SAME PEOPLE KEPT
NO DIFFERENCES IN THEIR PLACE

Memphis, TN
Memphis held it’s election day on October 6, 2011 with seats for voting in to elect a new mayor and several counsel positions. Voter’s turnout was at it’s lowest in a mayor’s race since the special election of A.C. Wharton in 2009. Once again Wharton led the race with 67% of voter’s turnout. So Memphis once again has no differences in the Mayor. In addition popular candidate Janice Fullilove held he position as city council woman. The names of Ford show three in same names but differences in position. Ed Ford, Sr lost the mayor’s race, while his niece will have a run off, but his son Ed, Jr. will not fill any different seat. The election count results were in early.
There was little differences in the winners & no differences in ways winners celebrated!
This is different.. at least I think so…
TWO DIFFERENT SURVEYS
HAVE GLOOMY OUTLOOKS
BUT… MEMPHIS LOOKS
NO DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE
10.06.2011
The gloom is surrounded with two surveys and statistics. First the US Census Bureau has issued a report claiming that Memphis is the poorest metro-city in the nation. Memphis being called an economic nightmare! With two out of five persons living in Memphis listed as living in or below the poverty line. Then another different report aimed from Forbes Magazine listed Memphis as the 2nd dangerous city to live in the nation. However, the differences of their views, people in Memphis find there is no differences in how they live. Memphis has many beautiful people and the job market is grim, but the differences are in the people. Somehow survival in Memphis has a brighter outlook looking at the differences to become better.
My goodness it’s the differences that make a city run.
So Memphis trying its best…no matter what differences survey show.
Feel any different?
I didn’t think so.
I’m closing this up.
Same way with bubbles…
OOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo…Can you see the differences in the bubbles?
I’ll see you soon.
