Marshall County, MS
It was Christmas day 2011 that a drive by shooting took the life of a young Mississippi woman in a vehicle with other friends and family. Others in the car were not fatally wounded, but the young woman took the toll of a bullet which was overwhelming to take her life. Two of the main suspects were arrested shortly after, but one fled away on the run a few weeks evading police. During the time of his flee, the home of the fugitive's mother was burned to the ground as many suspected it was set deliberately as retaliation against the run-away-suspect. No one occupied the home while it burned, as the family were not at home. Meanwhile, all leads seemed futile until earlier on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 St. Louis, Missouri police captured the alleged fugitive and deported him back to Marshall County, MS to face suspected charges in the woman's murder. The alleged suspect maintains his innocence and said that many will be embrassed when they discover he is not connected in the killing. The mother of the young woman is highly overwhelmed with consolation to have him convicted for murder.

Millington, Tennessee
Richard Hodges, the mayor of Millington, Tennessee has resigned his position after being indicted in bribery charges earlier last year. FBI and local authorities compensated evidence against the town's mayor regarding taking bribes in relations to a local automotive shop undercover tabs. Although much of the evidence has remained in secret the mayor was suspected as having been involved in taking his hand in the scrutiny. During the time of the investigations, the mayor's wife then was discovered in a sucidical death which was much overwhelming for him during such a crucial period of investigations. After weeks of being asked to resign, the mayor decided to take on early retirement before his term of mayor is over. The mayor in a exclusive interview with a local television channel contradicts that he is not guilty of any wrong doing. He faces at least 2 counts of bribery which could carry a term of 8 years each. An interim mayor will be selected on January 13, 2012. Hodges advices the newly elected mayor.."Always watch your back, and to do the right thing all the time." The mayor maintains he's overwhelmingly innocent.

PARDONS OF MISSISSIPPI GOVERNOR
HAS CONTROVERSY TO DISCOVER
Jackson, MS
Former Mississippii's Governor, Haley Barbour gave pardon to over 200 prisioners only later to discover that many of the pardons were given to harsh convicts of murder. After reading the pardons local were overwhelmed at such pardons given to four ex-cons who committed murder and released earlier before the pardons were officially read. This brought national attention to the procedures in which the pardons were done. The parole board who actually gave the list to the governor is being investigated to see if proper channels were used to issue pardons to those with harsher crimes. Otherwise, those who were set free early will be re-arrested if they are located, but are not necessarily responsible to volunteer information of their locale. The family of the murder victims and many residents have disspointed overwhelming views on how the whole situation could have happened. Barbour's successor Phil Bryant was sworn into office on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

AN OVERWHELMING HONOR LONG

A RE-NAMED STREET
Memphis, Tennessee
Just as the MLK Holiday approaches an honor to Dr. King is finally made in Memphis. Since Memphis is where Dr. King was slain it's been too long that the city has not one street named after him. Finally, the Land Base Board has presented to the Memphis City Council which approved with an overwhelming vote that a street be named after the Civil Rights Leader. Since Linden played such an sufficient location during the crucial part of Memphis' history it has also been selected to be re-named Dr. Martin Luther King Ave. The official street posts will be up by April 2012.
*MLK Holiday: Memphians and visitors go check out the Civil Rights Museum and the 23rd MKL Annual parade along with other ovewhelming celebrations around Memphis.
