Peace,
If we are ever ready, willing and able to study the Transatlantic Slave trade from an analytical, logical, unemotional standpoint, there may be great benefit for us as individual ,ethnic groups, a nation and the whole world community.
It has been well noted that there are ghosts in our past that are still haunting us. Until they are exercised, the issues that lay dormant within our individual and collective consciousnesses will continue to hold us back from greater progress and development of our humanity, perhaps.
Slavery in many forms is still having a great affect on our lives. It is trying to make a comeback. If we fail to remember the lessons of the past , we may have to relearn them all over again. If we have never studied the lesson by breaking it down into its basic elements are there still important lessons to be learned? Perhaps.
Colonialism has some of the same issues. It's grip has not been relinquished. Do you agree? Your thoughts.
Peace
