FOX NEWS ON RUSH LIMBAUGH CONTROVERSY? NEAR TOTAL SILENCE... (538 hits)

THINK PROGRESS, March 2, 2012 -- Fox News devoted just a single segment to the escalating controversy surrounding Rush Limbaugh’s vicious attacks on Sanda Fluke, the Georgetown Law student whom Republicans wouldn’t let testify during a hearing on birth control, largely ignoring the controversy.

The only mention over the past two days, according a search of a media monitoring service, was to cover White House spokesperson Jay Carney’s comments on the controversy. Host Megyn Kelly did not play any audio from Limbaugh. Meanwhile, Fox mentioned a phony bomb threat at Limbaugh’s home (it turned out to be a piece of art from a fan) three separate times this morning, without mentioning Fluke.

In comparison, CNN has done at least five full segments on the Limbaugh controversy over the past few days, while MSNBC has done many more, including bringing on Fluke for three full-length interviews last night and today. The controversy has become a major news story, returning over 750 results on Google News.

@ Rich, after watching both rush and Bill O'Reilly, I have come to the conclusion that BO's comments at the begining o fhis program has made Rush's comments on his program look like amature hour. (nup / smile)

Fox mum on RL all day by doing a total first on their cable news channel...they had as many nonwhites on all morning as they possiably could do...did not mention RL on their fos news weekend program that does the all week news that made the most news...they used AB's death to fill he news spot of th wweekLOL...

and, after this all of te weekend regular programs have been filled by the candadites running for pres. and now reports of who won th caucus in Washington state...

Fox is so desperate to not have to talk about rush's apology until they are giving ron Paul the royal treatment dispite RP as a rule just ignore them when they ask him to be on as a guest. (rotflmao) (smile)
