Amid all the widespread hysteria surrounding the Will & Jada divorce rumors there was someone who sat quietly and seemingly focussed on what matters most….family. That someone was Jada Pinkett Smith. Until recently she has watched and waited for the media storm to passs and just as wisdom would have it, she’s humbly began peeking to see if the skies are clear. In a recent interview with Gala France, she attempts to calm the swirling speculation and sets the record straight. This is what she had to say:
“Every year, a celebrity couple is on the radar. This year, unluckily, it’s us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it,” she told Gala France.
“But Will and I know the truth. We are waiting peacefully for when the storm ends.”
She believes the gossip has surfaced because they spend time apart working on different projects. Pinkett Smith insists she has a healthy relationship with her husband and children despite the distance between them.
“These rumours are completely untrue. I’m travelling a lot because of my work, as Will does. And the fact that I’m accompanying our daughter, Willow, on her trips, while Will spends time with our son, Jaden, doesn’t make things easier,” she said.
“But our way of living hasn’t changed. Before the children, we were already away from each other quite often because of our work.”
The couple make time for each other during their breaks from work. She is looking forward to their next beach holiday.
“In general, Will and I take two months of holiday, at the end of the year,” she said.
“Right after Thanksgiving, we shut down the curtain and nothing comes to bother our family life until January.”
