“The Preacher's Wife Soundtrack” debuted straight at number one on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and remained there for 26 consecutive weeks from December 14, 1996 to June 7, 1997.

It was certified three times Platinum for selling three million copies in the US. “The Preacher's Wife Soundtrack” is the best-selling gospel album of all time and has sold an estimated 6 million copies worldwide.

Yes...truly a spiritual classic. It brings me to a profound love of the Lord in quiet serenity. Everything about this is brilliant--the lyrics, the sweet longing for God's comfort and blessing--and of course, Whitney's clear and passionate sound.

I could hear this a thousand times and still long for more.

So true! I felt great comfort while listening to it and I sought out this song, because of some very personal challenges I've been dealing with lately. This song reminded me of God's infinite love towards me inspite of what I'm going through.

Have you ever heard a voice who left such an impression on you that you will never forget them for the rest of your life? To me Whitney was and still remains one of those people.

I always liked this song because it talks about trials and trivbulations and problems we go through, but as long as you keep God in your prayers and your heart and have faith that things will get better then eventually all issues will work themselves out. I hope all is well with Whiteny where ever she is!

Siebra: you know, I feel the same way. I LOVED her voice when she first came out with her I WANT TO DANCE WITH SOMEBODY and SO EMOTIONAL and HOW WILL I KNOW.

I remember listening to them in my car...

Her voice was truly a special gift.
