Heat waves…
Soaring and sizzling temperatures have many in havoc as many cities and towns across the United States are banning uses of fireworks. Temperatures cross-country are breaking summer’s all time records with hot high 90’s to 100 degree heat waving days. This has caused most very dry cities and counties to ban home usages of fireworks. Those who are caught using fireworks may be charged with a fines and or face charges with jail time. Cities are encouraging most citizens to leave the fireworks to the professionals this year as they are better equipped to handle and or prevent fire outbreaks.
Fires…
Recent fires across the Mid-West have a look of a waste-land as fires from June 2012 rampaged with tremendous burning. Thousands had to flee from the fires which covered over a broad path in mid-west cities. Colorado fires along took a hard toll on residents leaving a desolate passage of its outrage. Some of the victims managed to return home, but only discovered a bitter pill of ash and disaster. Early reports indicated that the fires are 40% contained, but all possibilities the fires could re-kindled lay in waiting. In addition, a new fire ignited its spread near Los Angeles county on July 3, 2012 which caused residents to be on high alert of dangerous fire watch. Again, fireworks and July 4th celebrations may be limited to residents nearby.
The 2012 Summer of fires has not ended just yet.
Millions still hot and powerless…
Working around the clock utility work crews are taking day and night shifts to restore power loss from a straight line wind and storm which attacked with fallen trees and electrical outages. Although some have powered, still millions are suffering in conditions with record heat waves and little or none July 4th celebrations. Some areas are in a state of emergency. Many are complaining of heat dangers which threaten dehydration and dangerous living conditions. Emergency help has been available with water, but without power, limits power availability and little can be done as for supplying air-conditioning or fans.
