A conspiracy theory explains an event as being the result of an alleged plot by a covert group or organization; more broadly, though, a conspiracy theory has been defined as the idea that important political, social or economic events are the products of secret plots that are largely unknown to the general public.
One characteristic of a conspiracy is that there is an alleged elite or elites--people with alleged or real power (e.g. in politics, science or economy)--behind the entire scheme. The power(s)-to-be can be secret societies operating in the background, using people officially occupying the corridors of power as their messengers, key promoters and influencers, and executors of the agenda. The fundamental issue with these elites is that they usually conceal their true motives and purposely deceive the public regarding their intentions.
When it comes to discussions of the New World Order and secret societies, conspiracy theories abound. The New World Order program has been on the drawing board for many decades. Despite denials and smears from the proponents of this plan, the insidious world domination and control preparations continue to be established and pushed forward. Once secretive terms such as One World, New World Order, New International Economic Order, etc, have now been euphemized and replaced with the more public and acceptable term “globalization”.
Certain events have transpired to support the idea that progress of the New World Order is under way: Former President George Bush (the senior) said in a speech to Congress on September 11, 1990: "[The war in Iraq is] a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times...a New World Order can emerge." The use of the phrase “New World Order”, according to one article, was formerly a covert term reserved only for the readers of select occult materials. By Bush publicly using this controversial phrase and its use becoming widely appealing to many other national leaders, many conspiracy theorists believe this use serves as confirmation to all that the conspiring assault toward an authoritarian world government is full speed ahead.
On another note: Interestingly enough, this same article also noted that it was expected for the younger Bush to carry out the New World Order. Many may raise a brow to these “coincidences” and say they have no connection, however, Bush strongly promoted free trade agreements, maintained strong relationships with CEO’s of multinational firms, and often fought for globalization with aggressive militarism and staunch unilateralism.
The "new world order" involves the elimination of the sovereignty and independence of nation-states, and establishing some form of a world or global government. This means the end of the United States of America, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights as they currently exist. Most of the New World Order proposals involve the conversion of the United Nations and its agencies to a world government complete with a world army, parliament, and court; global taxation; and numerous other world agencies to control every aspect of human life such as education, nutrition, health care, population, immigration, communications, transportation, commerce, agriculture, finance, the environment, etc. The various notions of the "New World Order" differ as to the details and scale of the entire plot, but all agree on the basic principle and substance.
Conspiracy theories about the New World Order and secret societies have even poured over into popular culture with many artists being labeled as members of the Illuminati, which is alleged to mastermind events and control world affairs through governments and corporations to establish a New World Order. Other names associated with secret societies are The Skull & Bones, Freemasons, The Knights Templar, Bohemian Club, Carlyle Group, Committee of 300, Council of Nine, Jason Society, Jesuits (http://www.titanicuniverse.com/the-titanic-conspiracy ), Knights of Malta, Round Table Groups (aka Chatham House), Opus Dei, Bilderberg Group, Black Boule (aka The Talented Tenth), CFR and the Trilateral Commission (two organizations that supposedly run the United States).
Conspiracy theories are plentiful and have occurred throughout history, all in efforts to rid of any power that may hinder the ultimate agenda and endorse anyone or event that promotes the plan. Some of the most considerable conspiracies involve the FDA and pharmaceutical companies; JFK assassination; 9/11, which was supposedly planned by the US Government (http://www.wanttoknow.info/northwoods ); a UFO at Roswell; the death of Princess Diana; the government permitting the bombing of Pearl Harbor; sinking of the Titanic; and the landing of Apollo on the Moon.
There are many more conspiracy theories out there and far too many to discuss in this limited amount of space; however, there is one that all should ponder as it is a blatant example of a relatively new theory that many will be able to witness its development and ultimate effects throughout their life: the government implanting microchips in humans.
Theory: The government is trying to control its citizens using a human biochip implant.
Facts: Microchipping first began in 1983 and was sued for monitoring fisheries. Today, it is widely used by zoos, in home pets, lab animals, tracking endangered wildlife, automobiles and more. In 2004 the first microchip was approved by the FDA for use in humans. The FDA’s approved version is called VeriChip and is a human-implantable radio-frequency identification (RFID) microchip. VeriChip was originally intended for identify verification purposes, such as assisting people with Alzheimer’s disease or tracing lost children. Human microchipping is already in progress; millions of military personnel around the world have been implanted with VeriChip for “security reasons” and some fundamentalist politicians are suggesting prisoners be microchipped for “security reasons”. Some proponents of microchipping even go so far as to suggest all newborn babies be microchipped.
Unanswered Questions: There is no evidence that the government has used or intends to use microchipping as a means of control, although it’s apt to become a hot button issue in the future as technology becomes even more advanced. Proponents of microchipping claim it will only be used beneficially in helping healthcare providers in emergency situations or for national security reasons.
Ideas: Conspiracy theorists fear misuse of the human microchip by the government that could lead to an increased loss of civil liberties and freedom. The microchip would also need to be unencrypted, which means anyone would have access to the implanted’s information if they had a microchip reader, no authorization required. Some theorists believe that innocent civilians have actually already been microchipped against their wishes for “security reasons”.
Summation: While there’s no evidence to indicate the government intends to microchip its citizens as a means of control, nonetheless, microchipping humans, whether for healthcare concerns, missing children or prisoners, should create a cause for concern. Considering that governments have a tendency to misuse and abuse their power, it’s difficult to give them the benefit of the doubt.
In this day and age, it is imperative that the American people remain open-eyed and conscious to the real motives or agenda behind prevailing events, activities, and promotion of certain ideas that occur. Particularly for the Black and African American community, beyond the prevalent issues of a New World Order, human microchipping, and the like, there has been an even more pressing conspiracy against Blacks and African Americans for centuries: Blacks have been oppressed and continually made to suffer, and in more recent decades, at their own hand by exploiting their own community and freely contributing to its demise through the use of the n-word, life-lining the inferior mentalities that the term perpetuates. As long as blacks remain in their “place”, that is one more component that is “safeguarded” and considered irrelevant or a non-threat to adversely affecting the larger scale conspiracies.
However, if Blacks begin to rise from that status quo to become a catalyst that “rocks the boat”, the community’s collective enlightenment and demand for respect within and without the community could be the one factor that unrattles the entire alleged scheme, particularly regarding new world order situation. Today is the day that the black community must awaken to the current and visible conspiracy that is heavy on the race of people. African Americans must begin to actively take back control if any desire exists for future generations of African Americans to live free and fulfilled lives unhindered by imposed psychological slavery and/or some global authoritarian regime that will work to push the black community even further into the unfathomable ocean of despair and irrelevance.
