As A Man Thinketh was written by James Allen in 1904. Mr. Allen was born in Leicester (central England) in 1864 and died in 1912. Although his writing career was short — only about nine years — he wrote 19 books, many of which are still in print today.
His second book, As A Man Thinketh, is a classic and deservedly so. But Mr. Allen didn't realize its power and value: He had to be persuaded by his wife, Lily, to publish it at all!
Fortunately for us, he did.
