MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
PASSES A ORDINANCE
WHICH HAS TRICKLED IN CHANGES
TO MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT HIRES
October 16, 2012
Memphis, Tennessee
The Memphis City Council has joined in the trickled down approval of an ordinance will not hold discrimination to hires of individuals who are gay or lesbian. The ordinance passed with a 9 for and 4 against vote on October 16, 2012. This ordinance protects the rights of the gay community against discrimination in hire and having equal opportunity in the positions of municipal government hires and positions. Now, Memphis is the third city in Tennessee to have the law trickled down. The other two states of Tennessee include Nashville and Knoxville which also passed much similar laws to government hiring without discredit of their s*xual preference or s*xual chosen gender. Many in the homos*xual community considered this passing ordinance as a treat in fairness.

Who’s there?
Will Ya Ya ever?
Will Ya Ya ever what?
WILL YA YA EVER HAVE A CUB?
October 20, 2012
Memphis, Tennessee
Who’s Ya Ya?
Ya Ya is the name of the female giant panda at the Memphis Zoo. Zoo officials have given her fourth insemination over the five year period but no new cub. This has zoo officials a little worried since Ya Ya has been living in residence at the zoo since 2003. Ya Ya is making Memphis look a little bashful since other U.S. zoos have produced cubs in cities of Atlanta, San Diego and Washington. Officials are hoping the program will eventually trickled down a new resident soon. Le Le which is Ya Ya’s mate has a role play too and the zoo officials are still hopeful something will spark a delighted arrival on its next attempt. Zoo officials said that Ya Ya failed at carrying her embryo full term each time. Looking in treats of positive results, the zoo has the opportunity to lease the pandas from China another 10 years.
