Obama won by a LANDSLIDE like I predicted he would. Hell YES I'm happy! I think of our sojourn. I think of slavery and the murder of us for just learning to read, write and even pray. I think of reconstruction and then the President getting inducted into the KKK in the white house. I think of Jim Crow and the thousands of lives taken just so I can fill in a circle and have my say in a country whose constitution relegated me to 3/5 of a human. I think of my grandparents who were sharecroppers and how they built businesses and raised my parents who experienced Jim Crow, water houses, 2 legged dogs, bombs and the military to keep us from public schools. I think of Jesse Jackson who ran for President when I was a young child. That was the first time I heard the name Farrakhan, when my friend's father said if Jackson won, he'd make Farrakhan his vice president. I didn't encounter the name till nearly a decade later. I think of the crack cocaine epidemic, the rockefella laws and all the times I have been racially profiled. I think of the time my people were choked by police. I think of the seeming impossibility that a Black man could ever become President and how that limiting BS (belief system) was systematically shattered as one man named Obama beat the inevitable Hillary Clinton to win Iowa and then Presidency. Hell yeah I'm happy, no, elated that Obama won!

I cosign that my brother! It takes brains and money to run for President. I do not see any hood loot being raised to free the man so he can help his people. All I see is name calling. The bottom line is he has four more years. Obama has created a legacy that his children can pass down through generations.
How long you want to hold on to the "my great great grandfather was a slave"? Sounds much better saying he was President. Think about it!
