Condemning Israel atrocities in Gaza;
Iranian lawmakers walked out of a Parliamentary session on Wednesday to condemn the escalating Israeli attacks on the people of Gaza.
Chanting "down with the US and down with Israel", Iranian MPs called for an end to the Israeli atrocities against the Palestinians.
Iran's Parliament speaker Ali Larijani, who also joined the ranks of protesting MPs, said with its attack on the Gaza Strip Israel made a strategic mistake. He said, the ongoing Israeli atrocities show that Israel's days are numbered. Elsewhere Larijani noted that Iran is proud of giving military and material assistance to Palestinians.
Head of Egypt's interest section in Tehran, who had a meeting with Iran's parliament speaker also took part in the protest gathering and called for a halt to the intensifying attacks on Gazans. Iranian MPs also urged the Iranian and Egyptian officials to allow them to make a trip to Gaza to support the people of that land.
The protest gathering by Iranian MPs came just days after millions of Iranians from different walks of life held demonstrations across the country to voice support for the people of Gaza.
Since Israel launched its latest wave of attacks on the people of Gaza on November 14th, scores of civilians have been killed and hundreds more injured. The attacks rage on while Israel keeps up its crippling blockade on Gaza, which was imposed on the enclave in 2007.
