Today, 136 years ago, a man was born February 26, 1877. There's a lot of controversy surrounding Master W. Fard Muhammad (the founder of the NOI), but one thing is for certain, he came to America and reached into the bowels of Detroit and initiated the mental and spiritual resurrection of a dead people, gave us an identity that tied us to the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, taught us the Knowledge of God, Self and the Devil, gave us aims and objectives and left us not alone by raising one from among us named Elijah Muhammad to continue the movement he set in motion.
The Scientists, when writing the history for this dispensation in time saw two avenues:
1) A world-wide cataclysmic war
2) A light so bright that they could not see beyond it
It was the latter that was written. It was the latter the took place and we are the direct beneficiaries of his coming. When the Scientists didn't believe our saving was worth the effort, he came himself! He said, there was none to uphold him, so his own right arm, it upheld him. It is for this, that we sing his praises forever and teach our children of his praises.
I for one am PROUD to wear a name that belongs to God (Muhammad).
Master Fard Muhammad, without him and his messengers The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Honorable Minister Farrakhan, many of our brothers and sisters in Islam may not even be alive. They certainly would not be the man or woman that I am nor the man or woman that we are becoming. They would still be in a mentally dead state, believing a spook god, believing in superstitions, blind to the reality of Self.
