INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY HAD GLOBAL CELEBRATION! (863 hits)

March is Women's History Month and on March 8, 2013 International Women's Day took on an global celebration. It has been over 100 years since this day of women has commerated. Roots of the international Day first begin with protests lead by female garment workers and the Socialist party and orginated on March 8, 1857. With it's history of development many women workers sacrificed their lives in factory fires and inhuman working conditons. Evoling also was National Women Day was was celebrated on February 28th in the United States. The international day scene drew attention in Copehagen, Denmark in March 1911 when 100 women from 17 countries attended an international conference to highlight needs and better social and working conditions for the working factory and working women. Although the day is an international celebration today, women in many foreign countries still face unbearable resolutions to better working and paying compromises. Factories and garment industries still abuse many women in foreign countires with low wages and benefits. The yearly International Women's Day is celebrated all over the globle every year.

Highlights of Global celebrations included :

USAids 300 millions to women rights in Afghanistan
In Bosian women were assisted with a new law considering rape as a crime under international law.

In South Korea women celebrated with new targets to help prevent domestic and any violence against women. This year's theme was call "A promise is a promise."

In the U.S. Secretary Kerry celebrated with being a male in a usually female position with current advice from Hilary Clinton.

In Russia women wanted to celebrate change for equality and more freedom of liberation in political leadership. Many Russian women were adorned with flowers.
