SECURITY IN THE HOME, A MAN'S POINT OF VIEW (771 hits)

Just the presence of a man in the home does not assure security in the home, it’s the security in the man of the home that will authenticate that.

(Breakdown)

Real men know where their true strength comes from

And where pre tell where the-strength of men come from? Is it their hair like Samson in the Old Testament or is it from eating spinach like Popeye the Sailor-man? Do-tell!

A man’s strength comes from God, and THE WORD of God. If they cut off my hair, I am bald, or I may lose my hair. (My strength is gone) What I consume enters my body, and then once nature takes its course, it leaves me, it is not retained in me. (My strength is gone)… BUT… when the word of God is in you, it is living, it can renew, strengthen, and restore.

Ha! I was just testing you. I concur that God is the source of our strength or at least He should be especially since we are His Creations. It's always nice to go to The Rock ( of Salvation) for healing, refreshing, guidance, strength, encouragement, nourishment, whatever we are in need of in our day to day journeys.

The problem is that many men don't see God from those in the pulpit who 'claim' to know Him, because the Pastors are too, busy speaking to the predominantly female congregants in order to keep the support flowing in that in the process they aren't able to indulge any men to come in and stay. Men come in the church to check out the ladies, bu when they get there they hear watered down versions of God's Word mostly suited for female audiences.

At least that's been my experience. What can a man do to learn that God is the source of His strength and not himself?

Cynthia,

What say you on the matter?

Is this problem of Pastors pandering o females congregants your experience as well? Since I've been goin to mass, I don't see this as an issue, because there is a bit of evrybody! Babies, school age, young married couples, old married couple... Evrybody!

Irma,

There's nothing betta or s*xy than a man who knows where his strength come from,eh! I must admit that I got caught up with male muscles and nice physiques as a younger person thinking that was true strength... Don't get me wrong, men should keep their bodies in good shape but they shouldn't stop with that outer shell.

Having said. I also concur with you... I love it, too!

Might I add that was the reason I found my husband appealing. The first time he visited me, he prayed a prayer of thanksgiving for having arrived safe and sound!
He didn't know that I found that dependence on God truly attractive.

@Shakeim What a strong man's point of view indeed!
It's a woman's home security as well.
Thanks!

@ Miisrael,

It' can be a woman's security but in the absence of one, ADT will suffice or a pit bull or Doberman pinscher unless one prefers a gun as their security of choice.

@ Miisrael,

ADT was a good security for me as a single person living alone! I worked too, much to have a pet, because when you're single the bills still have to be paid and I was too, afraid of guns so that wasn't an option!

You're right! I do have a security system. I'm not for using guns, but my young man wants to purchase one for protection. With break-ins rising criminals better think first before going into a single woman's home. There may very well be a gun shot with their names on it.

I know that's right! I was fierce and didn't play when I lived alone; I will share that I would walk around my home at night bombarding Heaven with prayers though... Talking to The Lord so is the essence of the blog topic... True security comes from knowing "The Almighty". Psalm 91:1
King James Version (KJV)
91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

The Message Bible.... 91 1-13
You who sit down in the High God’s presence,
spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow,
Say this: “God, you’re my refuge.
I trust in you and I’m safe!”
That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you—
under them you’re perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.
You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
watch the wicked turn into corpses.
Yes, because God’s your refuge,
the High God your very own home,
Evil can’t get close to you,
harm can’t get through the door.
He ordered his angels
to guard you wherever you go.
If you stumble, they’ll catch you;
their job is to keep you from falling.
You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
and kick young lions and serpents from the path.
