Dear Gardeners:
It's Spring!
However, with all this cold, and warm, rain and chilly kinds of weather you might question it. Yet, it is Springtime! I was seriously looking at a wonderful article today on growing your own cabbage patch. You know if you are vegetable gardener you can assure others new gardeners how easy it can be. It requires a little preparation though. I'm sure you know you'll have to till the area, fertilize and prepare it for your cabbage plants. The rest is spacing them, placing them in the soil and adding water.
You can choose how big or small you want your cabbage patch, and even how many cabbages you'll want to harvest. Early Spring after the last frost is the best time to get to the garden store and get your cabbage plants. Of course, if your experienced enough you can buy seeds and plant them too. Most garderners I think prefer buying the plants. I think that I would.
The article I read suggests that planting time of cabbage should be done while it's still a little cool outside with around 6 hours of sun a day. You can also plant 2 or 3 different variety of cabbage as well. Tips also included watering well, mulch and compost and a clean garden. Keep a watchful eye for insects who also adore feeding on your cabbages so you may want to help prevent that with a good dust, or safe go green sprays. You can also give them a nice dose of plant food to keep them vibrate and healthy.
At harvest time make sure your cabbage is full in the middle and you can either cut them off at the near root, or dig them and cut the roots off. Soon you'll washing and cooking your own home-grown cabbage dishes! That's smells delcious! Got some time saving tips!
Share.
I'll end this letter with a blessing for your cabbage patch.
"You're such a doll",
... if you know what I mean?
Bye Now!
So tell me how does your gardens grow?
I'd surely like to know..
Mine grows with
LOTS OF LOVE
