Memphis Grizzlies were first brought to Memphis in 1995. The team was first established in Van Cover, British Columbia and was purchased to bring prestige and also additional venue to the City of Memphis. Grizzlies are a part of The Southwest and Western Conference. They are the only team out of four professional leagues that plays in Memphis.

Taking a few steps back in time The Memphis Grizzlies are no new basketball team. Through years of highlights as in the previous story. There has been wins and losses. Then the big sale of the team came in June 2012. That's when the old owner Michael Heisley put the team up for sale. A fresh new owner stepped in and bought the team by the name of Robert J. Pera. Pera a young energetic billionaire bought the Grizzlies at an undisclosed amount and gave the team new heights for winning goals. Pera made his fortune by becoming founder of Ubiquiti Networks Inc. after working with Apple as a wireless engineer. The Californian, took the running ball and closed the sale of the team. Grizzlies have had a proving record of wins but many odds have been the team winning a championship.

Memphis Fans stood in long lines to a sell out game to watch the Clippers and the Grizzlies play basketball. When they tied up the game all fans in Memphis believed that they'd bet the clippers and fortune did shine with that line as the bears won the 7th game with the Clippers 103 to 93. Taking them to the steps of handling the ball with a new team to defeat.
Don't look at me, I'm not into the game, it's my son who has me writing this
thing...

Game @ Oklahoma
It was1.6 seconds left at the end. The Grizzlies first game of the season with Oklahoma, had a little growling upset as it left them waving their paws in game over! They'll be back and fans of Memphis are giving crossing fingers they'll make the score jump out the door!!! Fans; though a little disappointed are devoted to Grizzles and believe. They have started the slogan.. Believe Memphis.
I bleeve the Fans of Memphis are standing by their team all the way!
Grizzlies are on the run!

FYI: Final games left the Grizzlies losing the Western Championship Finals to the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs and the Miami Heat will play in the final four. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies will go and hibernate; and look to come back next season with BIG GROWL!
