TRUE LIFE SITUATIONS: WHY I CAN'T CONVERT ALL THE WAY TO USING CD'S (203 hits)

True Life Situations:

WHY I CAN'T CONVERT ALL THE WAY TO USING CD'S

Call it nostalgia, or ole school, even old fashioned, but there are many who are with me on the complete conversion of getting rid of the recordings on cassette players or; the video cassette recorder and players. Actually, I have tested my cassette players to numerous CD players and CD and found that when I couldn't get my CD player to operate, there in that dusty corner drawer lay my cassette player and my cassettes. I never got rid of them and on any certain day, I can pick them up pop them in and enjoy such wonderful music and songs. There are some problems I've had with using both. With the CD they can become easily scrathed and then the CD player may not be able to read it and it doesn't play at all, I've upgraded CD players almost every two years, and even the most We're not fading away into tech life exactly all the way...expensive ones I purchase only lasts about a two year period when it shows signs of trouble playing the recording. They skip, they jump and they get stuck...kind of like a the vinyal records. I become so annoyed. As far as the cassette recorded/player, I've had the same one for over five years, and there is no skipping or jumping only it plays until it stops. Sure, I can't automatically select the number I want to play, and when they finally go bad they will eat and tear up the tape, but the longevity of having them is compensation to me. I would rather stick to the old ways. This is a true life situation for many others just like me, we're not fading away into tech life exactly all the way, and we are reserving and conserving what little of the past we're able to. A voice recorded on CD may give a great sound amid much better clarity, but only if you're able to get it play. That's when the old stand by cassette player/recorder can be ready to sound off.

I'LL JUST PRESS REWIND....
