This week I went to the experience of baking and devouring the taste of a sweet potato. After making the visit at the farmer's market I bought 6 of the long puffed potatoes and took them home. For two days I enjoyed eating that great tasty food.
You'll find sweet potatoes are full of nutrients. Containing more beta-carotene than carrots and full of vitamins and minerals according to nutritionists. The sweet potato is considered a "Super Food" In a report from the North Carolina Sweet Potato Commission stated that findings the sweet potato contains fiber, vitamins A and C, foliate, iron, copper and calcium with also at least 4 grams of protein. Rated as containing 769 requirements of vitamin A it beat out the raw carrot. Another super component of the sweet potato is its aiding in digestion and body building. Another fact of nutrition about the sweet potato is it is an powerful antioxidant and good for immune system.
Tastes that wonderful bake "tator" and serve them warm melting in your mouth. You can add a pinch of nutmeg, and just a little pad of butter or spread.
And there are many ways to serve the little taters, mashed, in pies and chips!
