The powerful earthquake shook under the sea on Sunday, November 17, 2013 was reported during the 9:00 a.m. hour. The Scotia Sea which is located near Antarctica in the south Atlantic rattled underground waters and sea grounds causing a 7.8 on the scale. No inland damages reported; or any otherwise human occupied areas were damaged by the quake. However, scientists noted that there may be aftershocks that follow.
