A windy inferno started by a accidental fire from a guest house ignited fiercely destroying 300 wooden houses and or buildings in Dukong in Shangri-La county in Yunnan Province of Asia. According to the state media the fire was fueled with the wooden buildings and the blowing winds. The fire lasted over 10 hours and many of the wooden buildings were at least 1,300 years old. There were no fatalities reported in the detailed story, but is was mentioned that 2,000 fire fighters were called in to combat the fires. Small and narrow streets altered the saving of many of the buildings which burning with intense flames. This caused most of entire village to be destroyed. Estimated damages were estimated at 16 million dollars. After clean up began, the areas surrounded looked desolate and many people are left homeless and will need shelter and aid.
