Long Island, New York – Keith H. Burgess selected to serve as General Secretary of Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. operates in the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Queens and Kings.

About: Keith H. Burgess serves as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Dollicia F. Holloway Memorial Foundation, Inc. and President of Hidden MANNA Consultants, Inc., a nonprofit/small business consulting firm. In these capacities, Mr. Burgess, through the Foundation, provides assistance to creating positive youth initiatives and developmental programs, through the implementation and execution of various Financial Literacy curriculums, Youth/Peer Mentoring and Entrepreneurial Leadership Training Institutes.

Mr. Burgess graduated from Uniondale High School in 1984. After serving in the military and being honorably discharged from The United States Air Force, Mr. Burgess was gainfully employed at The Department of Social Services from 1988 to 1995. After leaving the public sector, He served in the Banking and Finance industry, being employed with Citigroup, Mellon Financial Corporation and Nationwide Insurance for a total of 14 years. In December 2009, He served as a Financial Literacy Consultant at the Economic Opportunities Commission of Nassau County, Inc. of Hempstead, Long Island.

In December 2011, The Dollicia F. Holloway Memorial Foundation, Inc was created in memory of his Aunt/Godmother, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident on New Year’s Day, 1971. To restore her legacy, the tax exempt charity will enable and equip the youth of the community to D.A.R.E (Dream, Achieve, Rise and Explore) to their fullest potential and giving them a better understanding of how to take control of their financial future, through educational workshops, youth seminars and community outreach.

In February 2013, Mr. Burgess created and serves as the Lead Advocate for TEAM ADV-Ance, A grassroots Domestic Violence Advocacy Group, under the Foundation in lieu of the murder of his god sister, Diane L. Parker. Through the Advocacy Group, Mr. Burgess has been gracious enough to have helped a great number of victims of Domestic Violence by obtaining orders of protection, as well as assisting families with funeral arrangements, the transport of survivors to shelters, as well as providing hospital and courtroom advocacy.

Mr. Burgess also overseas operations through the Foundation under the initiative called H.E.A.R (Hearing Everyday “At Risk”). H.E.A.R. will assist individuals who are hearing impaired. This program provides valuable resources and access to a list of Audiologists who specialize in all aspects of hearing deficiencies, such as sensorial hearing loss and obtaining financial assistance to those who can’t afford hearing aids. The initiative was inspired by his wife, Altanya Gerald-Burgess, who only has 25% of her hearing. The initiative was fortunate to partner with 4imprint and received a promotional products grant of $500 in customized ear buds.

Humbly, he is a proud member of Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs, The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce and 100 Black Men of Long Island, Inc. and proudly serves as Board Secretary of The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Mr. Burgess is happily married to the former Ms. Altanya Gerald. They have 3 sons, 1 daughter and 1 granddaughter.
