Oh....Mexico. . .
Once again the rivers of Mexico are in the news. This recent news comes from Monterrey, Mexico which has a oil spill that has polluted the river. The report sources said that thieves broke into an oil pipeline in northern Mexico that created an oil spill in the San Juan River which is a key irrigation source for farmers. The oil made a 14 mile stretch from the break-in of the Madero- Cadereyta pipeline. Since the theft, surroundings areas have been issued a strong warning not to drink or use the polluted waters. Clean up team are underway, but the actual process may be well over three months. Meanwhile, residents are being issued bottled water. This again goes back to recent pollution of a copper spill only weeks ago in two rivers near Mexico City.
