The Interview has caused more controversy before it's release due to a recent hacking of Sony Motion Pictures and threats of the danger that could follow if the film is shown in USA cinemas.
The movie is a comedy which has a plot to kill North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un. A group of talk show hosts get a big break to interview North Korea's leader, but there's a twist if the CIA can interview to have the interviewers do an cover plot that could lead to the death of the leader of North Korea. That's when the interview changes to a serious take out.
In reality however, hackers are placing provisions that if the movie is set to public viewing there may be confrontations of violence. So many theaters are and have opted out of it's showing. Among some of the cities are ones in New York, Atlanta and California. North Korea has denied any involvement with threats of cinemas that choose to show the movie. GO AND CHECK IT OUT!

UPDATE: 12.18.2014: Sony Pictures has decided to cancel the showing of the movie due to the controversy of threats and the many cinemas deciding to not run the movie at all. Sony was to release the film on December 25, 2014. No indication of when or if the movie will be shown was given by Sony officials. The Interview has been canceled for release indefinitely.
UPDATE: 12.25.2014 Sony Pictures decided to open it's movie The Interview on Christmas Day in at least 300 smaller movie theaters across the country. In addition, the movie can be downloaded on-line for a fee through on-line movie providers. Many people made a choice to visit theaters others opted to the pay fee on line. However, Sony feel it may not recover all the costs it took to make the move, they feel more so they still have to take a stand for freedom of speech.
