Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Brings Joy to MLK Center Long Beach NY (10020 hits)

Long Beach, New York - December 22, 2014 - The Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.(LIAACC), FidelisCare, and MLK Center in Long Beach hosted a Joint toy drive at the Martin Luther Center in Long Beach which attracted over 450 residents to the center. Several hundred toys were distributed to the families with children in attendance. WBLS and Hot 97 entertained the crowd with family friendly music and face painting was available to add holiday cheer. Santa Claus came just in time as the toys were distributed. Frozen, Spiderman and Dora the Explorer also stopped by to the delight of all in attendance.

The chamber is comprised of a variety of business enterprises and recognizes the need and importance of giving back to the community. Exhibit Showing at Bloomingdale’s Furniture Gallery at the Roosevelt Field Mall from February 1st through February 28th, 2015. The Opening Reception of the art exhibit will be held at the Furniture Gallery in Roosevelt Field from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 (adjacent to ****s Sporting Goods).
