Without Andrea Constand, none of this happens. Bill Cosby is still America's No. 1 dad, still beloved for giving us the Huxtables and Fat Albert, still embraced in too many corners of the country for telling young black men to pull up their pants, still selling out arena after arena.
It's all fallen apart now, swiftly and luridly, with woman after woman after woman—19 of them in all, for now—accusing Cosby of some sort of s*xual misconduct. There are plenty of momentsyou can point to as the precipitant, but every one of them can be traced back to a lawsuit filed by one woman—Constand. Then the director of operations for the women's basketball program at Temple University, Constand in 2005 did what no one else had done before: She put her name on paper in a public record and said that Cosby had drugged and raped her.

Jen, there's a certain kind of woman who will lie about such things. Watching the CNN special, that's what I saw.

You know... I'm thinking there may be some truth... After all Cosby admitted to using somedate rape drug.... But now.. I feel like some of the women embellished the truth to save themselves from embarrassment.... Lao, why wait so long to reveal all this stuff after 20 - 30 years..what does this solves? I'm against any form of abuse... But come on... Who cries wolf... Dayum the wolf is about dead!!!

People have been known to take quaaludes willingly, I know I did. He did something else to piss them off, could have been unkept promises, who knows

O yes... Unkept promises!! That's a motive for lies!! I just can't figure out why wait so long... I think I read that he admitted his drugging women in 2005..= seriously that would have been the time to pounce!!

I had the same question, why did they wait? But I figured a woman might have reasons, if it was rape. But these women were looking for something from him too. He had connection after all.

I see you guys don't watch much of Law and Order SVU, because the show clearly goes into the reasoning behind why women don't come forward. Many are ashamed, feel guilty as if they did something to cause the rape, some feel no one will believe them, and then others just don't want to remember it and want to repress it as if it didn't happen. I know how many are going with the White America trying to topple a Black man theory, but I don't buy that for one second. He's guilty. Sure there are women that are in that mix trying to capitalize on this but hey there are 30 something women with creepy too close for comfort similarities. So Janice Dikenson(spelled incorrectly on purpose due to new site controls) and Beverly Johnson sealed it for me when they came forward and now with this deposition being revealed... there is no doubt in my mind that the Cos is a serial rapist and most likely a sociopath. Camille and the Cos have an open marriage but I seriously doubt that she would approve of him raping young women without their consent. He's good at what he does... acting and pretending and hiding behind the cover of his trusted dad television persona for the purpose of preying on young women. Over and over you hear them tell of how he asked them to come to him when he finds them to be vulnerable aspiring actresses and aspiring entertainers all the while its a guise cover for preying on them. It's just not right what he's done and because I believe he's a sociopath, he has learned how to act out the role as if he is sincere and feels empathy. He's a cold hearted predator that needs to be put down both literally and figuratively.

Cosby's attorney has called the spate of s*xual assault accusations against the comedian "ridiculous." Martin D. Singer said in a statement it defies common sense that "so many people would have said nothing, done nothing, and made no reports to law enforcement or asserted civil claims if they thought they had been assaulted over a span of so many years." http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/24/us/cosby-acc...

How do you get raped twice by the same man? Joan Tarshis, who claimed Cosby raped her twice in 1969, said coming forward has taken a physical toll on her: “I'm having nightmares, waking up at two or three in the morning, thinking something would happen.”

@ Steve, The first link you posted doesn't work, but the second one does. I disagree with Singer. The Cos is guilty.

Most of the women were seeking an opportunity to get involved with acting. They sought him out expecting him to give them a career boost. He acknowledged that he in fact used a "date rape drug". Now... All of these women ... Some whom just appeared from no where.. come out with these claims... Shame + fear + guilt = ??... I'm sorry Jen.. but I think now coming out with all of this is a waste ... They allowed him to get away with the crime...

@ Cynthia, ...,"I think now coming out with all of this is a waste ... They allowed him to get away with the crime... ". ... Who says he's gotten away? There's a case that may be coming in California where there aren't any statue of limitation... Besides, he has gotten by, but he's not gotten away. It's never too late to out him as long as he's still alive and in doing so, he can't prey on anyone else w/o them viewing him as a perverted ole man.

Okay, so where does CNN fit in? Just performing a public service? Or maybe they're giving these wannabe actresses the opportunity that Cosby failed to provide?

@ Steve, CNN like The New York Times and Constand's Attorney filed motions to have access to the deposition for investigative journalism purposes... No one leaked anything on Constand's side. If anything, the Cos' Legal Machines leaked info however minute for years to the public... just enough to cast doubt on the MANY accusers, but they slipped up BIG and now Constand's Attorney has filed a motion to have ALL of the Desposition made public instead of the little excerpt of the 50 questions that he was MADE to answer by the Judge. We are only seeing part of the deposition, BUT trust me there is MORE!
