Merriam-Webster defines lady as: a woman of refinement and gentle manners.
That might seem like an old-fashioned way to describe yourself, but isn’t that what you would like to be called? I hate hearing women refer to themselves as the “b” word or even “hoe”.
We have to do better if we want better.
If you want a man in your life and are willing to accept one that refers to you in derogatory words and mistreats you just so you can say you have a man, that’s fine.
However, if you want a gentleman, someone to treat you like a lady, you need to think like one and act accordingly.
Dress for the part of a lady because what you wear speaks volumes.
If you want the role of side chick, booty call, hit-n-run then you should dress in a way that reveals most of your body.
A true gentleman will not take you seriously if you are dressed like you are for sale or rent. If you want a gentleman that respects you, you must respect yourself by not showcasing your assets for everyone to see.
A lady knows a gentleman prefers a woman with class who leaves something for him to imagine. She will save the provocative clothes for his private enjoyment.Speak the part of a lady because your words have power.
A lady knows better than to refer to herself as anything other than a lady. She doesn’t call herself the “b” word because she does not want a man referring to her by that word.
A lady chooses her words carefully because according to the Word, she knows her words can speak life or death over situations. She knows that she will have what she speaks and is careful with what comes out of her mouth about herself and about other women as well.
A lady knows a gentleman prefers a woman who speaks well of herself because she will speak well of him. She will build him up with her words, not tear him down.
Act the part of a lady because your actions call attention to yourself.
A lady knows how to carry herself with dignity. She doesn’t call unnecessary attention to herself by acting immature, especially in public. She knows how to handle herself in all situations and can put someone in their place while maintaining her composure.
A lady knows a gentleman prefers a woman that can get with someone when necessary without making a fool out of herself. She will have his back and not embarrass herself or her man.
Remember you attract what you are. If you are trashy and disrespectful, you will attract someone just like that. Then you will believe that you are not worthy to have a man love you and treat you in a special way. There are many gentlemen willing to show you love and respect, but you must think like a lady and act like a lady.
