ARMED FORCES DAY
SALUTE THE MEN AND MEN OF IN ALL BRANCHES OF THE ARMED FORCES
CELEBRATE THEIR DEDICATION AND LOYALTY TO
OUR COUNTRY!
On August 31, 1949 the Secretary of Defense Louis John announced that all military forces be celebrated on one day instead of individual days to celebrate and created Armed Forces Day. President Harry Truman followed up with the proclamation t have the day a National Day on February 20, 1950 and designated that the third Saturday of May be the National Day of the Armed Forces. Thus, making all branches of the day be celebrated on one day.
