She documents the creation and rise of the prison industrial complex's underclass of Black and Brown prisoners who have been stripped of: their citizen rights, the right to vote, the right to serve on a jury, severely minimizes their employment opportunities, eliminates financial aid for education, and their ability to secure public housing. The sad reality is the US gulag system was ramped up by President Bill Clinton with major support from his wife Hillary who campaigned hard for legislation that created a sharp spike in federal and state prison construction and the rise of Wall Street traded private prisons. When our people are locked up they are usually forgotten except by their families. Unless they are a celebrity, very little is known about what happens once those steel doors slam behind them and become engulfed into the prison culture. Even if they are not subjected to atrocities, torture or horrid conditions they are for all intents and purposes now slaves. Slavery in the US was legally outlawed by the Thirteenth Amendment but that amendment contains language that says, "except for punishment of crimes." So what we have is not just a new Jim Crow (apartheid) in the US but also slavery. Many of us are familiar with US history following the War Between the States and the end of so called "Reconstruction" whereby Southern Blacks were routinely arrested on bogus and trumped up charges sanctioned by legislation enacted by most of the former Confederate States called the Black Codes. These laws reinstituted the subservient status of Black people, severely restricted their movement and activities. Once Blacks were arrested they were often "hired out" to plantation owners, the railroads, mines or did forced labor for the county or state. That system still exists today. Racism and class bias are endemic in the "justice system" and seeking fairness and justice is not easy. The costs of securing a competent legal criminal defense and all that goes with it such as investigators and support staff are prohibitive for most people. Most people are forced to rely on the Public Defenders who are overworked and overwhelmed by the volume of their caseloads. This overload is due to the draconian laws passed at the behest of lobbyists who pushed for anti crime laws that mandated prison time that benefited their clients; the for profit private prison companies. State and federal prison systems actively collude with corporations to use their inmates to make the corporation's products. What has changed since the collapse of Jim Crow has less to do with the basic structure of
our society than with the language we use to justify it. In the era of colorblindness, it is no
longer socially permissible to use race, explicitly, as a justification for discrimination, exclusion,
and social contempt. So we don’t. Rather than rely on race, we use our criminal justice system
to label people of color “criminals” and then engage in all the practices we supposedly left
behind. Today it is perfectly legal to discriminate against criminals in nearly all the ways that it
was once legal to discriminate against African Americans. Once you’re labeled a felon, the old
forms of discrimination—employment discrimination, housing discrimination, denial of the right
to vote, denial of educational opportunity, denial of food stamps and other public benefits, and
exclusion from jury service—are suddenly legal. As a criminal, you have scarcely more rights,
and arguably less respect, than a black man living in Alabama at the height of Jim Crow. We
have not ended racial caste in America; we have merely redesigned it.

AmeriKKKa has not deracialized itself, as you so accurately point out, it merely continues old practices without the race based legislation of slavery and US apartheid (Jim Crow). Interestingly now that whites are the new heroin addicts and it is a national or at least a regional epidemic they want to decriminalize it and say its a health issue or a medical emergency! On the other hand the class war is more pronounced now than at any time since the mid 1920's and soon the rest of the country will experience what people of color have experienced since day one in AmeriKKKa.
If you go way back the same things they did/are doing to us they did to the Irish and Welsh in the 1600's. The ruling class' play book is not that diverse, they do the same thing over and over again because it works for them.

For folks interested in taking real action as opposed to mere talk here's some simple solutions all of us can do: stop enriching the corporations and people who oppress us. Stop buying their products, stop shopping in their stores or Online, stop supporting media outlets that take their advertising. But in order to do so you have to know which corporations and companies are suing prison labor, hence the reason I wrote and posted the article.

This solution of Mr. Stanton is a crying out to Black Americans to desire to become a sovereign people in a country of our own! This is something I’ve been saying for the past 8 years since I was anointed. It is in our own country that we don’t have to buy other people’s (White America) products because we will be producing these necessary products ourselves.
All roads leads back to me because I am Black America’s first genuine prophet and all that I’ve been saying is going to happen.

Rest assured intelligent people will get the intended message and act accordingly. Those promoting their own agenda will continue to talk but nothing will come of it. Sovereignty is more than a word. It requires deep thought, unity, cohesion and appropriate action. There are nations in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Europe who call themselves "independent" but those of us who know the real geopolitical reality know they are slaves to the IMF, World Bank, Bank of International Settlements, hedge funds as well as the CIA, MI6, Mossad and NATO still chained to a neo-colonial, neo-liberal imperialist order. There is enough material on the Internet and in libraries people can easily access that could open their minds to history and world events that could help them to formulate a serious plan for the redemption of our people. In fact there are people doing just that they just don't broadcast what they are doing. Suggestion for serious minded people, read or watch Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins to see what is happening in the world, and get a copy of The Sankofa Movement Re AfriKanization and the Reality of War (ISBN 0-9634588-4-2) for a well thought out program of transformation and redemption for African people .

If you notice almost all the sovereign nations on the target list for recent US invasions: Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Cuba, North Korea and Iran are (were) not a part of the Rothschild central banking network. As we know Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan (which was split into two countries Sudan and South Sudan) and Libya have been devastated by the US and NATO the thug arm of the banksters. Only Iran, North Korea and Cuba remain. Iran, North Korea and Cuba are being demonized by the US at the behest of the international banksters as we speak. But the US top priority now is to go after and destabilize the BRICS nations especially Russia China and Brazil because they started a bank to rival the IMF, World Bank and US AID.
The 1 % want to control the whole world they don't care anything about national borders, boundaries or governments. This is why the 1 % are so upset with the British masses for voting to leave the EU. In the EU unelected representatives beholding to Goldman Sacs and other huge banks actually pull the strings.
The really sad part is there are ahistorical, anti intellectual posters on this site who will never be seen as wise in the eyes of people seeking to destroy negative stereotypes,share dialogue and actions that could actually redeem our race and save the world from the clutches of 1 % and their New World Order.

All of this is by design and meant to be used as tools against our people, to hold us back, to restrict the dream of freedom from the people of the United States by way of laws like citizens united, which is more farther from the truth. The most disturbing part of this conversation that we are having right in plain sight, goes right straight over the heads of those who would attack you for bringing up such a topic.
