Under the leadership of Nat Turner, On 21 August 1831
...The God fearing Believer, after reading the above Speech by Dutty Boukmaan; STRUCK the FIRST blow to the American System of Enslavement of the African.
On 23 August, while en route to the county seat at Jerusalem, the rebels encountered a large force of white volunteers and trained militia and were defeated.
Turner escaped and attempted unsuccessfully to gather other supporters.
He was re captured on 30 October. He and 27 other rebel slaves were tried, and Turner and 15 others were hanged.
Turner's body was torn apart:
It was stripped of skin and boiled. The bones were distributed and body fat was used to make soap. Lamp shades and pocketbooks were made from his skin...........

Both Tecumseh and Roundhead were killed during the Battle of the Thames on October 5, 1813.[3] On Roundhead’s death, General Procter wrote in a letter dated October 23, 1813, “The Indian cause and ours experienced a serious loss in the death of Round Head.”[9] For years, Roundhead, who was a staunch supporter of Tecumseh, feuded with other Wyandot clans who supported Tarhe’s pro-American stance. Once Roundhead and Tecumseh’s forces were defeated at the Battle of the Thames, the division between the Wyandot ended. They began negotiations for peace with the Americans.[13]
