When you look at the urban cities across America largely inhabited by Black Americans, its not a pretty sight. White Americans including the KKK have charged that black Americans are unable of maintaining civilization. They point to Detroit which was in the 50s and 60s was considered the Paris of the western hemisphere. Whites lived in the city and were in charge of city government. They claim that when the African ethnics move in charge and started to run things, crime, riots, chaos set in to what it is today. Whites moved out and Detroit fell flat on its face. Now when we look at not only Detroit but Chicago, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Gary(Indiana), St. Louis, Oakland, Little Rock, etc...it is largely the same thing...the Black race seem to run down the community with violence, crime, drugs and chaos. So the question, does blacks NEED whites to grow civilization ? We are not speaking about 1000 years ago...we are speaking here and now. Can blocks share wealth among themselves or does life in black culture have to be dog beat dog....is it all one big hustle....look at the picture of Detroit of now that Blacks have taken charge....Can black mature and think about growing civilization ?

The professional black Americans leave the urban cities and live in the suburbs to integrate with the Whites where there is more stability and security. Blacks flocked to Atlanta and look at what has happened to Atlanta; the gay, lesbian, homos*xual blacks are EVERYWHERE......it is so disgusting....I was there about a month ago and was so glad to leave.....WOW....Can Black Americans maintain civilization ?

1. The Egyptian dynastic order comes to mind.
2. Obviously, you've never heard of Black Wall Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma or Rosewood near Sanford, Florida. There were other similar successful black settlements that were destroyed by whites resentful of black progress. Tulsa specifically was firebombed.
3. A lot of urban blight is by government design. Blacks did not live in ghettos because they thought it "a good idea." Bank redlining, restrictive covenants and "sundown laws" contributed. My own parents in East Winston-Salem, NC: in 1960, blacks were sequestered de jure; generations of economic fiat and societal low expectation have made that in many areas of the country de facto.
4. As far as "maintaining civilization," the Trump followers aren't showing off the best of humanity as far as the spike in hate crimes in the US. Time.com:

Okay...you mention some great points....Of course, I had mentioned that we are not speaking about 1000 years ago so lets not speak of the Egyptian dynasty as that was a real civilization. But, you did mention the progress blacks were making in 1921 in Tulsa where had Blacks had created their own businesses and services in this enclave, including several groceries, two independent newspapers, two movie theaters, nightclubs, and numerous churches. Black professionals—doctors, dentists, lawyers, and clergy—served the community. That was a good start at growing a civilization but was hardly sufficient. As a professional electrical engineer, it is clear to me that if a civilization simply have services but DO NOT manufacture...there can be no real civilization because you will have to depend on those communities THAT DOES MAKE OR MANUFACTURE THINGS.
In Detroit, black made cars, trucks, buses, valves, switches, motors, drives, etc...now much of those factories are shut down to ruins. Your point of the banks redlining minorities and government curtailing blacks into ghettos is legit which is why the blog poses the QUESTION. Certainly you know the difference between a declarative and a question. This post is asking CAN blacks grow civilization and from you answer, I get that you are a proponent that blacks CAN. I share your optimism but you had to go back to 1920 to do it.
This is the arena that the black populous in America needs to really invoke ourselves. Really, to grow a civilization than we must develop a positive economy for ourselves...meaning professional services, agriculture, manufacturing and energy. Now, in the 21st century, we do have this capability but to maintain this civilization there must be some security and self love and self respect so we do not destroy everything that we have developed simply because of isolated incidence.

As Salaam Alaikum Bro. Jamal, I believe it is possible that Black people can grow and maintain civilization. However, as things stand today, there is too much division in our community for us to be able to accomplish anything. The black community has a lot of work to do within itself before even dreaming of implementing a strategy that will put us in a better position.
We need to look inward and work on healing the self hate and hate for each other. We need to get educated on finances/home and business ownership. Small businesses and education are the keys to community stability. Small business creates jobs, that goes for all ethnicities including whites. For all the hype on assimilating into corporate America, small business is the big employer. Up to now the main employer of Blacks were protected areas like the government. Corporate America is hella racist, s*xist and has always lagged for us. They don't care but it didn't stop our progress! Stay focused on that. If we are supporting each other financially and supporting each other emotionally/socially we won't even crave their presence or blessing on anything.
Another thing for us to focus on is getting back to having neighborhood watches in our communities. In other words, addressing our neighborhood issues before they become a law enforcement issue. Get more hands on ratting out the troublemakers when necessary but more importantly DOCUMENTING POLICE MISCONDUCT. We need to be our own unarmed force that won't allow outsiders to roll in and roll up our neighbors willy nilly.
