It was in 1930 when an uneducated African American was commissioned by God in Person as Messenger of Allah. The Nation of Islam was founded in the United States and black consciousness would never be the same. Black Americans would be given the choice of retaining the religion pushed on us through slavery or considering the religion of our forefathers and ancestors in Africa.
African Americans had a hard time grasping the concept of God in Person. Everything black the African Americans had known could not be trusted and was known as coons, n*ggas and shiftless. So, when the nation of Islam introduced the thought of God in Person, blacks were spellbound.
The Nation of Islam explained that the seat of GOD is like a presidency. A GOD is born and when HE gets tired of living then HE dies and a new GOD automatically takes HIS place. The GOD in our lifetime is Master Fard Muhammad who was born on Feb 26th.
Blacks of all over would descend on Chicago to hear a profounding message from ALLAH's last messenger, Elijah Muhammad. Today, the nation of Islam continues and if the final hope for black America.
