Allen University 2017 Baccalaureate Service Speaker: Bishop Samuel L Green, Sr. (683 hits)

Allen University, South Carolina, will hold its 2017 Baccalaureate Service on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. The ceremony will be held at Allen University’s Chappelle Auditorium, 1530 Harden Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29204.

The guest speaker is the Bishop Samuel L. Green, Sr. Bishop Green is one of the 21 active elected and Consecrated Bishops of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Presiding Bishop of the 7th Episcopal District and Chair of Allen University Trustee Board.

After 19 years of progressive, productive and proactive ministry as a pastor, at the 47th Quadrennial Session of the African Methodist Episcopal Church General Conference, held in Indianapolis, Indiana he was elected and consecrated the 125th Bishop in the line of succession in the history of the African Methodist Episcopal Church since Bishop Richard Allen.

His educational accomplishments include a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia.

This event is free and open to the public.
