Did Carter G Woodson do the right thing for Black Americans by starting Black History month of February?
I believe Mr. Woodson had good intentions and extraordinary love for his Black American race. But, Mr. Woodson was wrong!
Black history month stirs up Black America’s emotions because we are being reminded of Black America’s horrible past to the present day of White America’s abuse and degradation of the Black American race for hundreds of years now.
Black Americans should be firmly focused on our future and not our horrible past that brings tears to my eyes. Black Americans should desire to become a sovereign people in a country of our own.
Black history takes Black Americans backwards rather than forward because there is nothing pleasant or to be celebrated about Black America’s past/Black history!
