The House Intelligence Committee held a hearing on the implications of climate change on national security. Intelligence analysts from the National Security Council, the Office of Naval Intelligence, and the State Department discussed disputes over water and resource scarcity, environmental threats to U.S. military bases around the world, disease and pandemics, foreign response to climate change, and emerging technologies such as geoengineering.
