Loans to brothers must be without interest.

Exod 22:25 If thou lend money to any of my people that is poore by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an vsurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him vsurie. KJV 1611

Help a stranger who has a fallen animal.

Exod 23:5 If thou see the asse of him that hateth thee, lying vnder his burden, and wouldest forbeare to helpe him, thou shalt surely helpe with him. KJV 1611

Lost property must be restored to its owner.

Exod 23:4 If thou meete thine enemies oxe or his asse going astray, thou shalt surely bring it backe to him againe. KJV 1611

Deut 22:1 Thou shalt not see thy brothers oxe, or his sheepe go astray, and hide thy selfe from them: thou shalt in any case bring them againe unto thy brother. KJV 1611

Stolen property must be returned to the owner.

Those who sin must be corrected.

Lev 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sinne upon him. KJV 1611

Love your neighbor as yourself.

Lev 19:18 Thou shalt not auenge nor bare any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy selfe: I am the Lord. KJV 1611

Use only honest weights and measures.

Lev 19:35-36 35 Ye shall doe no vnrighteousnes in iudgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. 36 Iust ballances, iust weights, a iust Ephah, and a iust Hin shall ye haue: I am the Lord your GOD, which brought you out of the land of Egypt. KJV 1611

Deut 10:19 Loue yee therefore the stranger: for yee were strangers in the land of Egypt. KJV 1611

The poor must be taken care of according to GOD's Laws.

Deut 15:4-11 4 Saue when there shall bee no poore among you: for the Lord shal greatly blesse thee in the land which the Lord thy GOD giueth thee for an inheritance to possesse it: 5 Onely if thou carefully hearken vnto the voice of the Lord thy GOD, to obserue to doe all these commandedements, which I commaund thee this day. 6 For the Lord thy GOD blesseth thee, as he promised thee, and thou shalt lend vnto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow, and thou shalt reigne ouer many nations, but they shall not reigne ouer thee. 7 If there be among you a poore man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates, in thy lande which the Lord thy GOD giueth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poore brother: 8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide vnto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his neede, in that which he wanteth. 9 Beware that there bee not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seuenth yeere, the yeere of release is at hand, and thine eye be euill against thy poore brother, and thou giuest him nought, and hee crie vnto the Lord against thee, and it be sinne vnto thee. 10 Thou shalt surely giue him, and thine heart shall not bee grieued when thou giuest vnto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy GOD shall blesse thee in all thy workes, and in all that thou puttest thine hand vnto. 11 For the poore shall neuer cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide vnto thy brother, to thy poore, and to thy needy in the land. KJV 1611

When a Hebrew slave goes free the owner must give him gifts.

Deut 15:12-14 12 And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six yeres, then in the seuenth year thou shalt let him go free from thee. 13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away emptie: 14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flocke, and out of thy floore, and out of thy wine presse, of that wherewith the Lord thy GOD hath blessed thee thou shalt giue unto him. KJV 1611

Deut 15:18 It shall not seeme hard unto thee when thou sendest him away free from thee: for he hath bene worth a double hired seruant to thee, in seruing thee six years: and the Lord thy GOD shall bless thee in all that thou doest. KJV 1611

Permit the poor to eat of the produce of the vineyard or the standing grain.

Deut 23:24-25 24 When thou commest into thy neighbors Uineyard, then thou mayest eate grapes thy fill, at thine own pleasure, but thou shalt not put any in thy vessell. 25 When thou commest into the standing corne of thy neighbours, then thou maiest plucke the eares with thine hand: but thou shalt not mooue a sickle unto thy neighbours standing corne. KJV 1611

Restore a pledge for a loan to its owner if he needs it.

Deut 24:12-13 12 And if the man be poore, thou shalt not sleepe with his pledge: 13 In any case thou shalt deliuer him the pledge againe when the Sun goeth down, that he may sleepe in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousnesse unto thee before the Lord thy GOD. KJV 1611

Pay the hired worker his wages on time.

Deut 24:15 At his day thou shalt giue him his hire, neither shall the Sun go down upon it, for he is poore, and setteth his heart upon it, lest he crie against thee unto the Lord, and it bee sinne unto thee. KJV 1611
