HBCUConnect Congratulates Seven (7) Graduates of the 2020 Verizon adFellows Fellowship Program (4482 hits)

On April 29, 2020, Verizon held their virtual graduation ceremony for the 2020 class of the Verizon adFellows Fellowship Program. The program was a commitment of 8 months working mainly in NYC for top Fortune 50 marketing, advertising, and client-side companies in the US.

HBCUConnect was tasked with helping Verizon identify and recommend candidates for inclusion into this program back in March of last year. There were many resumes that were submitted and looked over but in the end we had seven (7) candidates who were actually selected to be a part of the 2020 graduating class.

Congratulations to:
  • Justin Alvis
  • Shannon Arthur
  • Daisha McDaniel
  • Destiny McFadden
  • Nidja Muldraw
  • Karlyn Sykes
  • Raquel Wilson

The ceremony was capped off by an appearance by Pharrel Williams as he spoke to the newly graduated adFellows about the future, advice, and inspiration moving forward. He talked about how powerful it is for the youth to step up for the new generation and praised all of the participating companies on their commitment to diversity.

Thank you for all who submitted their resume. We love providing opportunities like this to our audience that we know are topnotch and very desirable. Look out for the 2021 Verizon adFellows Fellowship Program next year!
