An Alarming US Trend
Junious Ricardo Stanton

“Suicide is a major contributor to premature death in the United States, especially among people aged 10–34, for whom it is the second leading cause of death. In the United States, suicide increased 35% from 1999 to 2018 before declining by 5% through 2020. Despite the overall recent decline, rates continued to increase among females aged 10–24 and among males aged 10–44 and 75 and over.” https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/vsrr/vsrr024...

The American Empire is in accelerated decline both internationally and domestically. We are witnessing and experiencing appalling trends that do not bode well for our society. For example suicides and drug overdoses are at record levels in the U.S. “Drug overdose deaths spiked after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and during 2020 and 2021claimed nearly 200,000 lives. This surge has occurred alongside a rapidly changing US drug supply. More potent synthetic opioids like fentanyl are now playing a role in nearly 70 percent of deaths...New federal provisional data suggest that drug overdose deaths dropped modestly in the first nine months of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021. In 2021, a record 106,699 lives were lost. An estimated 79,117 Americans died from drug overdoses between January and September 2022, fewer than the 81,155 people who died during the first nine months of 2021, but still 50 percent higher than pre-2020 levels.” Overdose Deaths Declined But Remained Near Record Levels During the First Nine Months of 2022 As States Cope With Synthetic Opioids https://www.commonwealthfund.org/blog/2023... “Today, CDC is releasing the latest provisional estimates for suicide deaths in the United States in 2022. After declining in 2019 and 2020, suicide deaths increased approximately 5% in the United States in 2021. The provisional estimates released today indicate that suicide deaths further increased in 2022, rising from 48,183 deaths in 2021 to an estimated 49,449 deaths in 2022, an increase of approximately 2.6%. However, two groups did see a decline in numbers, American Indian and Alaska Native people (down 6.1%) and people 10-24 years old (down 8.4%).” Provisional Suicide Rates in the United States 2022 https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2023/s0...

The US is experiencing a mental illness crisis much of it can be linked directly to the past three years of the so called COVID pandemic. The policies and so called mitigation strategies for addressing the “pandemic” have had a disastrous impact on society in multi faceted ways and the mental health of our society is one area that has seen a destructive impact. “The coronavirus pandemic has been associated with worsening mental health among people in the United States and around the world. In the U.S, the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020 caused widespread lockdowns and disruptions in daily life while triggering a short but severe economic recession that resulted in widespread unemployment. Three years later, Americans have largely returned to normal activities, but challenges with mental health remain... At least four-in-ten U.S. adults (41%) have experienced high levels of psychological distress at some point during the pandemic, according to four Pew Research Center surveys conducted between March 2020 and September 2022. Young adults are especially likely to have faced high levels of psychological distress since the COVID-19 outbreak began: 58% of Americans ages 18 to 29 fall into this category, based on their answers in at least one of these four surveys. Women are much more likely than men to have experienced high psychological distress (48% vs. 32%), as are people in lower-income households (53%) when compared with those in middle-income (38%) or upper-income (30%) households. In addition, roughly two-thirds (66%) of adults who have a disability or health condition that prevents them from participating fully in work, school, housework or other activities have experienced a high level of distress during the pandemic.” Mental health and the pandemic: What US surveys have found by John Gramlich https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/20... I urge you to go to the above link and read the whole article.

What this data shows is the government and agency responses to COVID triggered these problems, that people’s emotional and psychological well being were compromised not by pathogens or viruses but by the cockeyed policies of bureaucrats, unelected and unaccountable billionaires like Bill Gates, George Soros and the Rockefellers!

What it also shows is a shroud of depression and anomie (a deep sense of disconnection, deviance, social instability and gloom) has engulfed the nation. These maladaptive responses and behaviors are the result of this mental illness and they are taking an horrendous toll on the masses.

Another indication of this metastasizing depression and gloom is the rising suicide rate in the US military. “Suicide rates among active-duty military members are currently at an all-time high since record-keeping began after 9/11 and have been increasing over the past five years at an alarmingly steady pace. In fact, some branches of the Armed Forces are experiencing the highest rate of suicides since before World War II. In 2021, research found that 30,177 active duty personnel and veterans who served in the military after 9/11 have died by suicide - compared to the 7,057 service members killed in combat in those same 20 years. That is, military suicide rates are four times higher than deaths that occurred during military operations.” Military Suicide Rates At At An All Time High: Here’s How We Are Trying to Help https://www.uso.org/stories/2664-military-...

The only viable solution is to reverse the feelings of isolation and separation caused by the lock-downs, “social distancing” and the fear porn promoted by the government, media and bureaucrats! We have to promote genuine holistic health not symptom management. We have to eat nutritious foods as opposed to junk food, remain hydrated and get adequate sleep. We have to reconnect to family and healthy social networks, encourage and support one another, focus on our resiliency and not our problems.

We must abandon the crass and callous materialistic values promoted in the media and replace them with a sense of spirituality and connection to our higher selves. We can reverse these negative trends if we believe life is worth living.

Brother from this report I understand that the total suicide numbers 45,855. I can't help but to wonder why people chose that method, opposed to life?

One reason is people feel personally powerless when there are rapid changes and disruption going on around them imposed by external forces like the government and they have no sense of control over their lives. Depression is rampant in this country and the COVID policies of isolation, socio-economic shutdown and fear worsened the situation. Drug abuse, and the fear psychology the media pumps out have created a "reality" that is pessimistic and negative so many people are in despair with no sense of hope.

I also saw that after Age-adjusted suicide rates were calculated as the number of deaths per 100,000 U.S. 2000 standard population and included all ages. Now that is hard to conceive simply because we as a people in modern times, never witnessed nothing like this in modern times.
