A Real "Coalition of the Willing" (687 hits)

Why do we settle for mediocrity, just because everyone else seems to be OK with it?

What would happen if a group of us decided to be accountable only to each other, and stop listening to what "everyone else" was saying?

What if instead of seeking approval, we just decided to do what needs to be done to build wealth and success in every area of our lives?

A group of 25-30 people who are focused enough to try something new, and who are tired of excuses. Tired of "going with the flow" and accepting less than we're capable of in education, business, media, and society.

Some people honestly don't care... that's ok, let them not care. We will continue to move forward.

It's time for us to stop complaining about "everyone else" and waiting for them to get it together, and focus on positive people doing positive things.

Tired of what you're hearing on the radio? Instead of complaining and debating... let's just stop listening to it. Then get some people who feel the same, and find a better way to entertain ourselves.

Don't like spending hard-earned money on overpriced clothes? Let's get together and find ways to dress well for a bargain, then congratulate each other on the deal, instead of feeding some designer's trust fund. Then invest our money together, get some real estate and stop getting raped on housing.

Tired of anti-intellectualism and being pushed to the sideline because you're being the intelligent person you are? It's time to leave the others behind and get with some people that are about knowledge.

We won't be on BET or make the cover of Vibe. So what. We'll get respect from the people that count.

Imagine how different your life would be if you were surrounded by positive people who are into the same things you are?

As of today, I'm opting out of the so-called "mainstream". I choose to not wait for some unknown leader or the US government to change my life, I'll do it myself. I'm opting out of complaining about people who have more than I do... instead I'll figure out a way to have whatever I need and want.

I am rejecting the attitude that Blacks cannot change. Instead, I'm organizing people that can and will affect change, and together we'll look out for each other.

If you feel the same, then do something about it. Link up with some people that are about something, and start building within.

Discontent is the first step in the progress of a man or nation.
