Proposals would give Washington unprecedented control over kids

The U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to debate two bills that could give the federal government unprecedented control over the way parents raise their children – even providing funds for state workers to come into homes and screen babies for emotional and developmental problems.

The Pre-K Act (HR 3289) and the Education Begins at Home Act (HR 2343) are two bills geared toward military and families who fall below state poverty lines. O wow sounds like the government is truly trying to progress to a communist structure. I don't feel the problem is going to end by trying to monitor the kids in these situations because the parents are the ones who are abusing the kids. I think mentorship and role models can and will influence the younger generations but it has to be the right people with the right intent. I am not comfortable with the government trying to so closely control our youth. They have already provided a poor school system and trying to take God of the picture in the process. That spells doom! But it doesn't look bright when a young child is going to be controlled by the government. I don't like it at all!
